x Equalizer.TheJSD100equalizerallowsthefrequencyresponseoftheJSD100tobeadjustedforthe

acousticsoftheroom.Theequalizerincludespresetsforaflatresponse,a"peaktopeak"response,

a"zigzag"response,andan"XCurve."Youwouldusuallystartequalizationfromtheflatresponseor

theXCurveresponse.Thepeaktopeakandzigzagresponsesareonlyusedtoprovideaquickcheck

oftheequalizer.NotethattheXCurvebuttondoesnotautomaticallyequalizetheroom.Instead,it

setstheequalizertoanXCurveresponse.Sincetheroomisnotflat,adjustmentswillhavetobe

madefromthesesettingstoprovidethedesiredcurve.



Usingtheinternalpinknoisegeneratorandtheinternalrealtimeanalyzer(RTA),theequalizeris

adjustedsotheRTAshowstheresponsespecifiedastheXcurveinSMPTE202M1998.Thecurve

callsforaflatresponsebetween63Hzand2kHzwiththelevelfallingoffatthelowandhighends.
